Lake Forest College women's tennis player Allison Watts was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday after posting a perfect 6-0 record in singles and doubles combined over the weekend.

Watts, a junior, played at #1 doubles and #2 singles in all three of the team's matches. The Foresters posted an 8-1 victory at Knox College and 9-0 triumph at Monmouth College on Saturday. Lake Forest also prevailed 9-0 at Illinois College on Sunday.

Watts did not drop a game in doubles or singles at Knox and was nearly as dominant at Monmouth, taking both sets 6-1 in singles before partnering with freshman Julie Lord on an 8-1 win at the top of the doubles lineup. Her closest contest of the weekend was an 8-3 triumph in doubles at Illinois College and Watts followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of her opponent at #3 singles.

The six overall victories over the weekend left Watts only five shy of becoming just the third player in program history with 100 wins in her career. She enters this weekend's MWC Individual Tournaments ranked fourth in team annals with 50 career doubles victories and seventh with 45 singles triumphs. Her singles record on the season stands at 14-2 and she is 15-2 in doubles.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Watts also earned the award once last year.
