Senior Lucia Stumbras earned her squad's only point as the Forester women's tennis team was defeated 8-1 by State University of New York-Geneseo on Monday. Lake Forest's match later in the day against Goucher College was postponed.
Stumbras took both sets 6-1 at #3 singles and improved to 2-0 at the position during the team's Spring Break trip to Orlando, Florida. She continues to lead the Foresters in singles victories with 17 in her final season and she is undefeated (15-0) in dual matches.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record on the year to 8-7 while SUNY-Geneseo improved to 10-1.
The Foresters were unable to play their evening match against Goucher due to rain. The teams hope to make up the match before the end of the trip.
The next opponent on Lake Forest's schedule is Berry College, who the Foresters will take on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 (EST).
