The Midwest Conference released a women's tennis preseason coaches poll for the first time in league history on Wednesday and Lake Forest College was picked to finish in third place. The Foresters are expected to continue their streak of six straight appearances in the four-team MWC Tournament.

Voting is done by the MWC head women's tennis coaches. Each coach votes for the ten other schools in the conference in order of predicted finish. Points are assigned in reverse order of voting (ten points for first, nine for second, etc.). Coaches may not vote for their own teams.

Forester head coach Michael Raymond returns for his fifth season with the program and owns a 19-4 league record with a pair of runner-up finishes at the conference tournament during his first four years. He welcomes back the majority of his lineup from 2014, including the top three players.

The Foresters will open the regular season with a triangular against Mount Mary University and Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, August 29, at nearby Deerpath Middle School. Lake Forest's first league match will be another home contest against Beloit College on Wednesday, September 9.
