The United Soccer Coaches recently announced its NCAA Division III All-Region Teams and Lake Forest College's Krissy Kuwahara was among the honorees.
As a central defender, Kuwahara anchored a Forester defense that allowed a total of just 14 goals in 17 games this season. Lake Forest recorded nine shutouts, including seven in eight Midwest Conference games. The freshman easily led the team in time on the field, playing nearly 91 percent of the entire season.
Kuwahara was also named First Team All-MWC on November 12.
United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams are selected by member coaches.
