Foresters Edged Out by Concordia Wisconsin

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Concordia University Wisconsin at home on Tuesday.

The only goal of the contest was scored by the Falcons at the 37:01 mark. The visitors had a 10-1 advantage in shots during the first 45 minutes but Forester sophomore goalkeeper Aarti Singh turn away six of their seven shots on goal to keep the game close.

Lake Forest out-shot the guests 9-6 after halftime and forced the Falcon goalie to make seven saves in the period. Forester freshmen Franca Finch and Cass Barbera split the scoreless second half in goal with Finch making three saves and Barbera one.

The non-conference loss dropped Lake Forest's overall record on the season to 8-6-1 while Concordia Wisconsin improved to 13-3-0.

The Foresters will close out the regular season against visiting Grinnell College on Saturday. The Senior Day game will begin at 11:00 a.m.
