The Lake Forest College women's soccer team defeated Knox College 3-0 at home on Saturday in the Foresters' final game of the spring season.

The home team took the early lead less than 10 minutes into the contest on sophomore Raven Dziedzinski's third goal of the year. She took a well-placed through ball from junior Julia Larson and hit the left side of the net from 15 yards out.

Larson also set up the second goal two-and-a-half minutes into the second half. After collaborating with a pair of teammates before a free kick 25 yards from the goal, she tapped the ball a few yards closer to the middle of the field where sophomore Alyssa Xanos found a way to tuck it just inside the right post for her team-high eighth goal of the season.

The same two Foresters also combined for the third and final goal just three minutes later. A free kick from left of the box was mishandled by the Prairie Fire goalkeeper and Larson was there to kick it in and tie Xanos for the team lead in goals.

Freshman goalkeeper Aarti Singh made a pair of saves in the second half and several plays throughout the game to keep Knox off the scoreboard. She earned her first career victory and shutout.

Lake Forest finished the spring 4-0-1 while Knox was 1-1-0.

Forester seniors Cassidy Hoyt, Morgan Henrichs, Riley Medley, and Maria Perkkio were honored on the field before their final career game.
