Lake Forest College women's soccer player Morgan Henrichs was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday for her performance in a pair of victories over the weekend.
Henrichs and the rest of the Forester defense limited Illinois College to just four shots in Saturday's 7-0 victory at home and Ripon College managed just eight attempts in Lake Forest's 5-1 triumph on the road on Sunday. The victories improved the team's overall record of 9-5-3 and league mark to 4-2-2, bringing the Foresters closer to earning a spot in the four-team MWC Tournament.
The junior defender was also involved at the other end of the field, heading in a corner kick on Saturday for her second goal of the season. She now has 25 points on 11 goals and three assists in her career.
