Lake Forest and Grinnell play to Scoreless Tie

The Foresters earned their third consecutive shutout on Saturday but were unable to score themselves in a 0-0 tie with visiting Grinnell College in the Midwest Conference opener for both teams.

Lake Forest put eight shots on goal to the Pioneers' three but came up empty on the scoreboard.

Forester goalkeeper Sandra Greco made three saves, including one in overtime, and is now 4-2-1 with a 1.49 goals against average on the year. She has now held opponents scoreless during her last 256-plus minutes in goal.

It was the 11th scoreless tie in Forester women's soccer history and the first since October of 2017.

Lake Forest is now 5-3-2 and Grinnell 3-4-2 this season.

The Foresters will continue league play at home against Cornell College Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
