The first career goal for freshman Alyssa Xanos gave the Foresters the early lead but a rough second half led to a 6-1 loss to Concordia University Wisconsin at home on Wednesday.

The score from Xanos was set up by back-to-back passes from sophomore Alexa Kotsovos and senior Sangjun Hornewer and the shot itself tucked just inside the right side of the goal at the 18:26 mark.

The Falcons came back and tied the game at 31:51 and the score remained 1-1 for the rest of the first half.

The visitors took the lead eight minutes into the second half and pulled away with four more scores in the next 25 minutes. Concordia Wisconsin finished the contest with a 24-8 advantage in total shots and an 11-5 edge in shots on goal.

Lake Forest fell to 3-2-1 on the season while the Falcons improved to 3-0-0.

The Foresters will host a pair of games this weekend, taking on Milwaukee School of Engineering Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Saint Mary's College Sunday afternoon at 2:00.
