Senior Sangjun Hornewer gave the Lake Forest the lead twice and the visitors held on for a 2-1 victory at Concordia University Chicago on Monday.

Hornewer broke a scoreless tie seven minutes and 15 seconds into the second half. Her first score of the season was set up by freshmen Raven Dziedzinski and Alyssa Xanos.

The home team, however, tied the game less than five minutes later and the score remained 1-1 until Hornewer struck again at 77:26 with junior Morgan Henrichs assisting. It was Hornewer's first career multi-goal game.

Forester sophomore goalkeeper Altina Rexhepi made 10 saves, including six after halftime, to earn the victory in her collegiate debut. She matched the highest single-game save total by a Forester in nearly six years.

Lake Forest improved to 2-0-0 on the season while Concordia Chicago fell to 0-1-1.

The Foresters will host Wisconsin Lutheran College Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
