The 2018 All-Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Teams were announced on Monday and Lake Forest College had a pair of Second Team honorees on defense.
Senior Molly Major and freshman Hiwa Brown helped the Foresters post four shutouts and a league-best goals against average of .076 during the nine-game conference schedule. Lake Forest was the only MWC team to defeat league champion Knox College with Major scoring the only goal late in the 1-0 triumph. She finished the season with a pair of scores - both game-winners - and one assist. Brown also assisted on a goal, setting up the game-winner in another 1-0 victory over Concordia University Chicago early in the year.
Major was also a Second Team All-MWC selection in 2017 while Brown is the first Forester freshman to be listed among the league's best since 2012.
After recording four victories and a tie against conference opponents in the final five games of the season, Lake Forest finished 2018 with an 8-9-1 overall record and a 4-4-1 mark in MWC play.
The Foresters have had at least one all-conference selection every year since the program started in 1986 and multiple All-MWC honorees in 30 of those 33 seasons.
