The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 5-0 at Carthage College on Saturday.
The Lake Forest defense limited the Lady Reds to just two shot attempts in the opening period and the game was still scoreless at halftime.
Carthage, however, outshot the visitors 13-2 and scored five times in the final 45 minutes.
The Foresters fell to 4-9-0 overall this season while Carthage improved to 6-4-2.
The rest of Lake Forest's games will be played against Midwest Conference opponents, beginning with next Saturday's match-up with Monmouth College at 1:30 p.m. The game will be played on the soccer/softball field behind Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
