The Forester women's soccer team's three-game winning streak ended Saturday evening with a 3-0 loss to visiting Illinois Institute of Technology.
The Scarlet Hawks had a 9-1 advantage in shots in the opening half but neither team was able to score in the period.
The first goal of the contest came at the 62:16 mark and Illinois Tech added insurance scores at 72:19 and 78:53. The Scarlet Hawks attempted five shots to the Foresters' four in the final 45 minutes.
Lake Forest had an 8-3 edge in corner kick opportunities in the game but were unable to convert.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 3-2-0 while Illinois Tech improved to 2-0-1.
Lake Forest will travel to Concordia University Wisconsin for its next game on Monday with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
