The Midwest Conference announced the 2017 All-MWC Women's Soccer teams on Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Shari Jacobson and Molly Major were listed.
Jacobson, a senior defender, was named First Team for the second straight season. She scored three goals on the year, including a game-winner, and was the final line of defense before the goalkeeper for a Forester defense that allowed opponents to score more than twice in a game just four times during the season and none in the final nine games. The four-year starter has helped lead the team to a 52-19-6 overall record and 30-4-4 mark in MWC play in her career and the Foresters have surrendered just 1.31 goals per contest during that span.
Major, a junior defender, was a Second Team All-MWC selection after scoring a pair of goals and assisting on another this year. She was one of four players on the team to start every game and helped Lake Forest post five shutouts, including back-to-back 1-0 triumphs to end the season. The Foresters finished the season strong, especially on defense, and allowed just five goals in seven October contests.
The Foresters finished the 2017 campaign with a 7-8-2 overall record and a 5-2-2 mark in league play.
