Freshman defender Morgan Henrichs was one of two Foresters to score her first career goal in the Lake Forest College women's soccer team's 5-0 triumph over visiting North Park University on Tuesday.

Henrichs headed in a corner kick from junior defender Jo Hendrickson at the 57:27 mark, increasing the Forester lead to 3-0. Junior defender Molly Major added her first score of the season eight minutes later off a pass from junior forward Charlotte Jackson and senior forward Mimi Vaintrub finished off the scoring with a penalty kick with exactly 12 minutes to play in the contest.

The home team had taken the early lead on a score by senior midfielder Kayla Wuest at the 18:48 mark. Jackson also assisted on that score and leads the team with four points on the young season. Freshman midfielder Cassidy Hoyt doubled the Forester lead with her first career goal just three minutes later with Wuest assisting on the play.

While Henrichs and Hoyt scored their first goals, fellow freshman Paige Thiel, the team's goalkeeper, made three saves to earn her first collegiate victory and shutout. She stopped one shot on goal in the first half and two in the second.

Lake Forest finished the game with a 19-7 edge in shots and a 5-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities.

The Foresters are now 1-4-0 on the season while the Vikings fell to 3-2-0.

Lake Forest has two more home games on the schedule for this weekend. The Foresters will take on Wisconsin Lutheran College Friday afternoon at 4:30 and Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Saturday is also the team's Parents Day.
