Senior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta became the Forester women's soccer team's career leader in victories as Lake Forest defeated host Monmouth College 4-0 on Sunday.

Tenuta made a pair of saves in the contest and is now just two stops away from becoming the seventh goalie in program history with at least 200 in her career. The victory was her 44th in the last four years, breaking a tie with Bri Schleibinger for first place in team history. It was also her fourth shutout of the year and 17th of her career, one fewer than Schleibinger's school record in that category.

Junior Kayla Wuest took over the team lead with her sixth goal of the season at Sunday's 17:08 mark. Sophomore Jo Hendriksen's corner kick set up the score.

Senior Lindsay Hartup matched Wuest with her sixth goal of 2016 less than seven minutes later and the first of two goals on the day from sophomore Susie Baca made the score 3-0 at the 26:30 mark. Senior Kyle Chavarria assisted on the goal.

The Foresters out-shot the home team 7-2 in the opening period and led 3-0 at halftime.

Baca found the back of the net again in the 53rd minute for her first career multi-goal game. Hendriksen and senior Amy Sherman assisted on Baca's fifth goal of the season.

Lake Forest had a 7-2 advantage in shots again in the second half.

The Foresters are now 8-6-1 overall this year and 4-2-1 in Midwest Conference play. The Fighting Scots fell to 5-8-2 overall and 2-5-0 in the league.

Lake Forest will play its final non-conference game of the regular season on Tuesday against visiting Dominican University. The contest will begin at 4:00 p.m.
