Foresters Return to Action, Win Convincingly at Beloit

Junior Kayla Wuest had a goal and two assists to help lead the Lake Forest College women's soccer team to a 5-0 victory at Beloit College on Wednesday in the Foresters' first game in 10 days.

Wuest assisted sophomore Susie Baca on the game's first goal just 52 seconds before halftime. It was the second game-winner of the season and third goal of 2016 overall for Baca.

Lake Forest out-shot the home team 11-2 in the first half and 16-5 during the final 45 minutes.

The scored remained 1-0 until the visitors rattled off three goals in a four-minute span, beginning with sophomore Jo Hendriksen's second score this year at 74:12. Sophomore Molly Major set up Wuest's team-high-tying fifth goal of the year at 76:04 and sophomore Cath Auger-Morin converted a penalty kick opportunity at 78:13.

Wuest assisted sophomore Kasey Kraus with 8:48 on the clock to close out the scoring. It was the second score of the season for Kraus.

Forester senior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta made four saves, including three in the second half, for her third shutout of the year and 16th of her career. She also tied Bri Schleibinger for first place in program history with 43 career victories.

Lake Forest is now 7-5-1 overall this season and 3-1-1 in Midwest Conference play. The Bucaneers fell to 3-7-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the league.

The Foresters will play two more conference road games this weekend, taking on Knox College on Saturday and Monmouth College on Sunday. Both contests will begin at 3:30 p.m.
