Senior Lindsay Hartup gave the home team the lead just 71 seconds into the contest but the Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 by visiting Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday.

Hartup took a pass from senior Katelyn Hronek in the middle of the field and was able to slip the ball past the Raiders' goalkeeper and into the right side of the net. It was her team-high fifth goal of the season.

Milwaukee School of Engineering out-shot the home team 10-2 in the first half and tied the score at the 37:24 mark.

The Raiders had a 6-4 advantage in shots in the final 45 minutes and netted the game-winner with just 3:43 to play.

The loss left the Foresters with a 6-5-1 record on the season while M.S.O.E. improved to 8-2-1.

Lake Forest will not be in action again until resuming Midwest Conference play on Wednesday, October 12, at Beloit College. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
