A goal by senior midfielder Katelyn Hronek with 17.4 seconds left in overtime gave the Forester women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin at home on Sunday.

Lake Forest earned a corner kick and got it off with less than 30 seconds remaining in the overtime period. Senior defender Amy Sherman's shot was blocked by a Falcon defender but came back to Hronek, who sent it past the goalie into the left side of the goal for the score.

It was the seventh career goal overall and fourth career game-winner for Hronek, whose last score was the game-winner in the 2014 Midwest Conference Tournament final.

The Falcons had a 5-3 edge in shots during the first half and a 6-4 advantage in the second. The Foresters accounted for the teams' only three shots in the extra period.

Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta recorded one save in the opening 45 minutes and two in the second half for her 14th career shutout. She has not allowed a goal in more than 175 minutes so far this season.

The Foresters improved to 2-0-0 on the year whlie Concordia Wisconsin fell to 0-2-0.

Lake Forest will host the 2016 Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Soccer Showcase next weekend and will take on Macalester College Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Coe College Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
