Holly Lesperance Named All-American

Forester women's soccer player Holly Lesperance was named Second Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on Thursday.

Lesperance, a senior forward, earned the honor for the first time in her career. She is also a four-time First Team All-Midwest Conference selection and four-time NSCAA All-North Region choice.

In her final season Lesperance scored 14 goals and added six assists for 34 points. She had at least one point in 12 of 19 games, including each of the last seven, and she scored the official game-winning goal in three straight Forester victories in October.

Lesperance completed her career ranked third in program history with 53 goals, fourth with 136 points, and sixth with 30 assists. She played in each of Lake Forest's 81 games over the last four seasons and recorded at least one point in 53 of them.

The Foresters finished the 14-3-2 overall this season and claimed their second straight conference championship with a 9-0-1 record in MWC play. The Foresters were 62-15-4 overall and 34-3-3 in the league with three MWC titles and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances during Lesperance's four-year career.
