Lake Forest College and host Knox College played to a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Junior defender Amy Sherman scored to give the Foresters a 2-1 lead they were unable to maintain.

Sherman's second score of the season was assisted by freshman defender Susie Baca at 32:35, just 90 seconds after Knox had tied the game at one.

Lake Forest senior forward Michelle Greeneway's team-high 10th goal of the season gave the visitors the early lead at 13:51. She was assisted by fellow senior forward Holly Lesperance.

The Prairie Fire eventually tied the game at the 57-minute mark and neither team was able to score again.

The Foresters out-shot the home team 8-2 in the first half and 8-5 in the second. The visitors also attempted five shots to Knox's three in the two scoreless 10-minute overtimes.

Lake Forest junior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta made five saves in the contest, including one in each overtime period.

The tie leaves Lake Forest with a 4-2-2 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in Midwest Conference play. Knox is now 7-1-2 overall and 1-0-2 in the league.

The Foresters will be back in action on Sunday at Dominican University. The non-conference contest will begin at noon.
