Foresters Fall on Late Goal at Webster

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team suffered its first road loss since late in the 2013 season on Friday, a 2-1 decision at Webster University. Senior forward Michelle Greeneway's third goal of the season tied the score early in the second half.

Greeneway was assisted by junior midfielder Lindsay Hartup a minute and 48 seconds into the second period.

Webster had taken the early lead with a goal at the 6:39 mark and the home team netted the game-winner with just 2:18 on the clock.

Forester junior goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta made a season-high five saves in the contest.

Both teams attempted just a two shots in the first half and the Gorloks had an 8-5 advantage in that category in the second. Lake Forest had five of the game's eoght corner kick opportunities.

The Foresters are now 2-1-1 and Webster 2-2-0 on the season.

Lake Forest will continue its trip to St. Louis with a game against Evangel University on Saturday. The contest will begin at 5:00 p.m. and be played at Fontbonne University.
