Lake Forest College women's soccer players Holly Lesperance and Amy Sherman were named Midwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Performers of the Week, respectively, on Monday for their performance in the team's first two games of the season.

Lesperance, a senior forward, registered a pair of four-point games. She scored twice in the team's 9-0 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College at home on Tuesday before contributing to all three goals with a score and two assists as the team defeated visiting Edgewood College 3-0 on Sunday. She now ranks fourth in program history with 42 career goals and tied-for-seventh with 26 assists.

Sherman, a junior defender, helped the Foresters post a pair of shutouts and allow just three shots on goal in the two games combined. She also contributed on offense, scoring the official game-winning goal in Sunday's 3-0 triumph over Edgewood.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information.
