The Forester women's soccer team matched a program record with its 10th consecutive victory on Saturday, a 2-1 win at Lawrence University. The game-winner was scored by junior Michelle Greeneway, whose 54th career goal tied the school record.

Greeneway put the Foresters ahead with just 4:02 remaining in the second half. Her team-high 13th goal and fifth game-winner of the season was assisted by sophomore Nina Perkkio. Greeneway tied the program's career goals record set by Melissa Stevenson in 2005.

Greeneway earned an assist on Lake Forest's first goal of the contest. She and sophomore Kyle Chavarria set up junior Holly Lesperance at the 27:58 mark to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. It was the sixth score of the season for Lesperance, who now ranks eighth in team annals with 32 career goals.

The Vikings tied the game at 48:54 on one of their five shot attempts in the contest. Fifteen of Lake Forest's 22 shots in the game were on goal but 13 were saved by the Viking goalkeeper.

Forester sophomore goalie Rachel Tenuta made a pair of saves in the first half and one more in the second to earn the victory. She improved to 6-0-0 with a 0.83 goals against average on the year.

Lake Forest is now 10-0-0 on the season overall and 3-0-0 in Midwest Conference play. Lawrence fell to 2-5-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the league.

The only previous 10-game winning streak in Forester women's soccer history was recorded by the 1996 squad. The team will try to surpass that record at home against Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday afternoon at 4:30.
