Greeneway, Lesperance, and Hillis Named First Team All-MWC

The 2013 All-Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Teams were released on Wednesday and a trio of Forester sophomores made the list. Forwards Michelle Greeneway and Holly Lesperance and defender Sam Hillis were each named First Team All-MWC.

Greeneway, a forward, appeared on the First Team for the second straight season after finishing second in the league with a school record 25 goals and 55 points. She also ranked fifth in the nation in goals per game and sixth in points per contest. She scored 13 goals and added four assists in 10 league games. Greeneway already ranks third in program history with 41 career goals and 95 points.

Lesperance is also a two-time First Team All-MWC selection at forward. She finished seventh in the conference with 11 goals and 27 points and scored eight times with one assist in league play. Lesperance has 63 points in her first two seasons combined, tied for 14th place on the program's career list.

Hillis, a defender, is a first time All-MWC selection. She tied for third in the league with eight assists on the season and scored her first career goal against Monmouth College on October 26. She helped the Forester defense record six shutouts and limit opponents to 26 goals in 19 games.

Lake Forest finished the 2013 season with a 13-5-1 overall record and placed third in the conference standings with a league mark of 7-2-1. The Foresters qualified for the four-team MWC Tournament for the 10th time in the last 11 years.
