Women's soccer player Holly Lesperance was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for her performance in the Foresters 5-3 victory at Ripon College on Saturday.
Lesperance, a sophomore forward, scored four of the five Forester goals in their only competition of the week. Leading the team to its third conference win, Lesperance scored three times in the first half and again with less than ten minutes remaining in the second.
This was the first career hat trick for Lesperance, coming within the first thirty minutes of play. She is one of only six players in program history to score as many as four goals in a single game. The MWC also recognized the efforts of Lesperance by awarding her the Offensive Performer of the Week Award.
Lesperance has seven goals and three assists on the season, ranking second on the team in points. In her time as a Forester, Lesperance has 53 career points and earned herself a spot among the program's top 20 in that catagory.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
