Lake Forest Scores Twice in Second Half, Blanks Wisconsin-Oskosh

The Forester women's soccer team hosted and defeated the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 2-0 at home on Sunday. Lake Forest freshman goalkeeper Rachel Tenuta made 11 saves in her first career shutout.

Tenuta stopped six shots on goal in a scoreless first half and five in the second. She is now 2-1-0 on the season.

The Foresters scored first at the 58:12 mark when junior Michele Giurovici headed in a corner kick from sophomore Sam Hillis. It was the third goal of the season for Giurovici.

The home team doubled its lead at 73:31 on junior Emily Keast's first goal of the year. Giurovici was credited with the assist after her shot was saved by the Oshkosh goalie and kicked in by Keast.

The Foresters are now 3-1-0 on the season while the Titans fell to 0-3-1.

Lake Forest will travel to Milwaukee School of Engineering for 7:00 p.m. non-conference game against the Raiders.
