Foresters Still Perfect in MWC after 1-0 Triumph over Carroll

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team defeated Carroll University 1-0 at home on Tuesday. Forester senior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger made six saves in her fourth shutout of the season.

Schleibinger made three saves in each half to keep the Pioneers off the scoreboard. She improved her goals against average to 1.25 and save percentage to .800 on the year. It was her 14th career shutout.

The only goal of the game was scored by Forester freshman Michelle Greeneway at the 24:09 mark. A corner kick from classmate Sam Hillis caromed off a Carroll defender and Greeneway was there to kick in her team-high 10th goal of the season.

Carroll had a 9-4 advantage in shots in the first half and a 14-5 edge in the second.

Lake Forest is now 8-4-0 overall this season and a perfect 6-0-0 in Midwest Conference play. The Pioneers fell to 6-4-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the league.

The Foresters will travel to St. Norbert College for another conference game Friday evening at 5:00.
