Foresters Stopped by Concordia Wisconsin in Season Opener

The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 5-0 by visiting Concordia University Wisconsin in Friday evening's season opener for both teams.

Concordia Wisconsin started the scoring at the 7:39 mark and took a 3-0 lead into halftime after tallies at 11:02 and 20:45.

The Falcons added second-half scores at 74:12 and 84:01.

The Foresters were out-shot 29-6 in the contest but had nine corner kick opportunities compared to just three for the Falcons.

Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger established a new career-high with 14 saves.

The Foresters will look for their first win of the season against visiting Eureka College Sunday afternoon at 1:00.
