Lake Forest Falls to Carroll in Season Finale

The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by visiting Carroll University on Sunday. It was the final collegiate contest for three Lake Forest College seniors.

Isabel Brown, Erica May (pictured), and Mira Trebilcock were honored before the contest. They have helped lead the Foresters to 39 victories in their careers.

Lake Forest and Carroll played a scoreless first half. The Lady Pioneers out-shot the home team 5-2 in the period and had the half's only shot on goal.

The visitors had an 9-3 advantage in shots in the second half and got on the scoreboard in the 58th minute. Carroll tacked on a pair of insurance goals in the final six minutes to account for the final score.

The Foresters finished the season 7-11 overall and 3-6 in Midwest Conference play. Carroll is now 9-8-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the league and claimed a share of the conference championship.
