The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 5-1 at Grinnell College on Saturday. The Foresters are now 6-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in Midwest Conference play this season.
Grinnell scored the only goal of the first half in the 37th minute.
The Pioneers doubles their lead early in the second half but the second goal of the season by Lake Forest freshman Emily Keast made the score 2-1 with 34:12 to play. The home team regained its two-goal lead at 60:40 and added insurance scores at 64:39 and 87:11.
Grinnell is now 7-3-1 overall this season and 4-0-0 in the league.
Lake Forest's next game will be played at home against St. Norbert College on Sunday, October 16, at 1:00 p.m.
