The Forester women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at home to North Park University on Wednesday. The non-conference loss leaves Lake Forest with a 5-2-0 record on the season.
The visitors scored the game's only goal on a corner kick just 10 minutes and 30 seconds into the contest.
Neither team was able to mount much of an offensive attack in the first half. The Vikings scored on one of their two shots and the Foresters attempted just one shot in the period.
North Park had a 13-4 edge in shots in the second half but, like Lake Forest, was unable to score in the game's final 45 minutes.
The Foresters will resume Midwest Conference play on Saturday against Illinois College. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m. and it will be Lake Forest's Parents Day.
