The Lake Forest College women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Monday night, a 2-0 defeat at Benedictine University. The Foresters are now 2-1-0 on the year.
Benedictine took the lead at the 22:11 mark of the game and added a second goal seven minutes and 40 seconds into the second half.
The Foresters were out-shot 12-9 and put six shots on goal, one fewer than the Eagles. Lake Forest had four corner kick opportunities in the second half but were unable to mount a comeback.
Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference play Thursday at Beloit College. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
