The All-Midwest Conference women's soccer teams were released
Monday (November 16) and five Lake Forest College players made the
lists.
Freshman forward Becky Esrock
(St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) and senior sweeper Monica
Thomas (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) were First Team All-MWC
selections. Esrock set a new school record with 20 goals and led
the team with 48 points, the second-highest single-season total in
team history. She also ranked second in the league with 13 goals
and 28 points during nine conference games. Thomas, who was a
second team all-conference selection as a freshman, moved to

league with just 29 goals allowed in 19 games.
Junior midfielder Bianca
Greene (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica) and junior defender
Emily
Weber (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills Upper School) were Lake
Forest's Second Team All-MWC honorees. Greene led the league with
15 assists, the second-highest total in program history. Weber
helped the team post a 1.51 goals against average on the season and
recorded nine points of her own on three goals and as many
assists.
Joining Esrock in the Foresters' starting lineup at forward was
fellow freshman Lisa
Sorensen (Muskegon, Mich./Western Michigan Christian), who
earned Honorable Mention All-MWC honors after ranking fifth in the
conference with 34 points on 14 goals and six assists.
Lake Forest posted a 12-7-0 overall record and a 7-2-0 mark in
league play. The Foresters tied for second place in the MWC regular
season standings and fell 3-2 in the conference tournament
semifinals to St. Norbert College.
