Becky Esrock and Bri Schleibinger Named Midwest Conference Performers of the Week

Lake Forest College women's soccer players Becky Esrock (St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) and Bri Schleibinger (Spring Grove, Ill./ Richmond Burton) were named Midwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Performers of the Week, respectively, on Monday (October 26) for their performance in three victories in the previous seven days.

Esrock, a freshman forward, began the week on Wednesday by assisting on the game-winner and adding an insurance goal early in the second half of a 5-1 victory over visiting Dominican University. She then registered her third hat trick of the season in a 4-1 triumph at home over Grinnell College on Saturday, starting things off with a goal 70 seconds into the contest and
putting the game out of reach with two more early in the second half.

Schleibinger, a freshman goalkeeper, recorded one save in Wednesday's win over Dominican and stopped three of four shots on goal against Grinnell. Finally, on Sunday, she tallied five saves in a 1-0 victory at Beloit College. It was her third shutout of the season and the win clinched a spot for the Foresters in the 2009 MWC Tournament.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information
directors. Esrock also earned the award on September 14 and Schleibinger on September 28.
