The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released it's
NCAA Division III All-North Region Team on Friday (December 4) and
Lake Forest College's Becky Esrock
(St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) was a third team selection.
Esrock, a freshman forward, established a new single-season school
record with 20 goals and led the team with 48 points, the
second-highest total in team history. She ranked 23rd in the nation
in points per game and 28th in goals per game.
Esrock and the second team goalkeeper from Concordia College in
Moorhead, Minnesota, were the only two freshmen listed on the North
Region teams. She is the first Lake Forest player on NSCAA's
All-Region teams since a pair of Foresters earned the honor in
2004.
Lake Forest posted a 12-7-0 overall record and a 7-2-0 mark in
Midwest Conference play. The 2009 Foresters tied for second place
in the MWC standings.
