The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 4-1 by visiting
St. Norbert College on Saturday (September 19). Lake Forest fell to
3-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in Midwest Conference play while the Green
Knights' victory in their first league game raised their overall
marck to 3-2-0.
The Foresters scored first on freshman Becky Esrock
(St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) team-high eighth goal of the
season with just 4:58 remaining in the opening period. She was
assisted by juniors Emily Weber
(Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills Upper School) and Bianca
Greene (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica).
St. Norbert, however, tied the score seven minutes and 13 seconds
into the second half and then took the lead 12 minutes later. The
visitors tacked on insurance goals at 73:19 and 80:05.

Schleibinger (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond Burton) recorded a
season-high eight saves in the contest.
Lake Forest will host a non-conference game against Alverno College
tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The Foresters will then host Carthage College
Wednesday (September 23) at 4:30 p.m. before resuming league play
against Lawrence University next Sunday afternoon (September 27) at
1:00.
