Foresters 3-0 after Victory at Warren Wilson

The Lake Forest College women's lacrosse team outscored Warren Wilson 20-7 on Tuesday to close out the Foresters' spring break trip to North Carolina.

Junior Emma Tryder scored a team-high four goals and added an assist in the contest. She has now scored eight times on the year.

Freshman Jenna Doctor and sophomore Ali Graham each scored twice in the first quarter and Lake Forest led 7-2 after 15 minutes of play. Tryder and freshmen Savannah Frauhiger and Krissy Kuwahara also scored in the opening period.

The Foresters accounted for six of the seven goals scored in the second, including two each by freshman Cass Barbera and sophomore Ryleigh Nelson. Additional tallies came from freshman Ashley Carr and sophomore Lila Beckwith, making the score 13-3 at halftime.

The margin continued to grow in the second half as Lake Forest outscored the home team 3-2 in the third quarter and 4-2 in the fourth. Tryder had three of the goals, Doctor completed her third consecutive hat trick, and Carr, Kuwahara, and Beckwith each scored her second of the game.

Lake Forest freshman goalie Calliope Saban earned the victory. She and her team improved to 3-0 on the season while Warren Wilson fell to 0-3.

The Foresters will host Madonna University for Parents Day Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
