The 2021-22 season will be the third for Amanda Di Nella as an assistant coach at the College. She works with the team's goaltenders throughout the season and manages the defense during games.

Lake Forest is 17-17-1 overall and 13-8-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play since Di Nella joined the staff. Under her direction, defenseman Jordan Trapp was named all-conference both seasons while defenseman Karya Dean was selected to the 2019-20 NCHA All-Freshman Team. In addition, goaltender Jacque Rogers finished her four years at the College as the program's career leader in victories (51), shutouts (22), save percentage (.939), and goals against average (1.49). The Foresters have surrendered just 1.77 goals per NCHA contest over the last two years, the second-best mark in the league during that span.

Di Nella completed a four-year playing career at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2019 and made more saves than any other goaltender in program history. The two-time ACHA All-American West First Team selection and two-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree went 49-23-15 with a .927 save percentage and 1.55 goals against average in her career. She helped lead the Gusties to a pair of MIAC championships and two appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament, including a third-place finish in 2017.

Di Nella, a native of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, and a graduate of Willowbrook High School, played for the Chicago Mission before attending Gustavus Adolphus and helped lead the 19U team to a national title in 2015.

In addition to coaching, Di Nella is also continuing her education and plans to pursue a career in nursing.
