Jeff DeFrancesca

Jeff DeFrancesca joins the Forester coaching staff in 2010-11. He will work with the team’s defensemen and be heavily involved with the staff’s recruiting efforts.

While it is his first year at Lake Forest, DeFrancesca is not new to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. He played four years at league member University of Wisconsin-Stout and captained the Blue Devils to an 18-9-3 overall record and appearance in the NCAA Tournament as a senior in 2007-08. The defenseman finished his career with 23 points on 11 goals and a dozen assists. He was also a three-time NCHA All-Academic Team honoree.

DeFrancesca’s coaching experience includes time as head coach of the Glenview Stars Pee-Wee 1 Team and with the Chicago Young Americans U-12 Team. He has also been involved with youth camps for the Chicago Blackhawks.
