The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 2-0 at Adrian College Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Playoffs.

Lake Forest senior Hannah Turnage made things difficult on the nation's fifth-ranked team, stopping the first 43 shots on goal she faced in the contest. The home team finally broke through at the 11:32 mark of the third period and added a score at 18:22 with Turnage on the bench in favor of an extra attacker.

The Bulldogs outshot the Foresters by a wide margin in each period and 51-9 for the game.

There were just three penalties with Adrian going 0-for-2 on the power play and Lake Forest 0-for-1.

Turnage finished the day with 49 saves, matching the fifth-highest single-game total in program history and the most ever by a Forester while allowing no more than one goal. She surpassed 40 saves in a game eight times this season and now owns five of the top 15 totals in team annals. Turnage's 800 saves this season are easily a school record while her .943 save percentage is the program's third best mark and currently ranks 11th nationally.

Lake Forest completed the 2022-23 campaign with a record of 15-9-4 while Adrian advances to Saturday's Slaats Cup Final at 25-3-0.
