Turnage's Stellar Performance Not Quite Enough at Gustavus Adolphus

The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 1-0 at Gustavus Adolphus College, the second-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday.

The Gusties scored the game's only goal while on the power play 92 seconds into the final period. They put 49 shots on target but Lake Forest junior goaltender Hannah Turnage saved a career-high 48 of them to raise her save percentage on the season to .923.

Gustavus Adolphus was 1-for-5 and the Foresters 0-for-2 on the power play in the contest.

The loss evened Lake Forest's record this season at 2-2-0 while Gustavus Adolphus remained undefeated through three games.

After a weekend off, the Foresters will begin Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play against visiting Aurora University November 18-19.
