Lake Forest Falls to Nation's Second-Ranked Team

The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 7-0 at Gustavus Adolphus College, the second-ranked team in the nation, Friday night.

The Gusties started the scoring with a power play goal and added two more tallies in the opening period. The home team added three more scores, including another on the power play, in the second period and tacked on yet another power play score in the third.

Lake Forest freshman goaltender Angie Lombardi made her collegiate debut late in the second period and stopped six of seven shots on goal in the game's final 22:20.

The Foresters fell to 2-1-0 on the season while Gustavus Adolphus improved to 2-0-0. The same two teams will face off again in St. Peter, Minnesota, Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
