Lake Forest women's hockey's junior Hannah Turnage was named the women's Forester Athlete of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in the team's games against University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday and Saturday.
Over the two games against a nationally-ranked Eau Claire, Turnage turned away a total of 71 shots: 28 in the game on Friday and another 43 in the game on Saturday. This is the fifth time this season that she has had made 40+ saves this season. Despite adding two losses to her tally, her save percentage rose to .929.
Forester Athletes of the Week are voted for by the athletic department on Tuesdays.
