Foresters Victimized by Late Goal against #3 Eau Claire

The Lake Forest College women's hockey team kept the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the third-ranked team in the nation, off the scoreboard for more than 59 minutes Friday night but fell 1-0.

The only score of the contest occurred with just 25.9 seconds on the clock.

Forester junior goaltender Hannah Turnage turned away each of the Blugolds' first 28 shots on goal, including 13 in the second period. While she took the loss, her save percentage on the season rose to .924.

Half of Lake Forest's 22 shots on the night came during the third period.

Neither team was successful on the power play with the Foresters missing out on seven opportunities and the Blugolds six.

Lake Forest fell to 2-7-0 on the season while Eau Claire remained perfect after nine games. The teams will face off again in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon at 4:00.
