The Lake Forest College women's hockey team began the 2021-22 season with a 4-0 loss to visiting University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday night.
The Falcons took the lead with 2:17 remaining in the opening period and neeted three goals in the second.
Lake Forest junior Hannah Turnage made a career-high 45 saves on the night and turned away the last 16 shots on goal she faced.
The Foresters finished with 21 shots, including 10 in the final period.
The same two teams will face off again Sunday afternoon at 2:00.
