13 Foresters Named All American Scholars by AHCA

The American Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2020-21 Krampade All-American Scholars on Thursday and 13 Foresters appeared on the list of Division III women.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 grade point average for each semester during the 2020-21 academic year. Krampade and the AHCA are honoring 450 women from NCAA Division III institutions in the fifth year of the award.

Lake Forest's Annie Dalton was among those being recognized for the fourth year in a row Two-time honorees from 2020-21 include senior Makenzie Kamm, juniors Emelia Edmondson and Megan Truman, and sophomores Karya Dean and Iman Shepard. Debuting on the list were senior Julieana Tarantino; juniors Hannah Kobienia and Rose Sperry; sophomores Stokli Ashcraft, Cagla Celik, and Hannah Turnage; and freshman Danielle Selby.

The 13 honorees are easily the Foresters' highest total in the five years of the award's existence, nearly doubling the previous high of seven set in 2019-20.
