The Lake Forest College women's hockey team had its season come to an end on Wednesday at Adrian College, where the Foresters fell 4-2 to the Bulldogs in the quarterfinal round of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Playoffs.

Adrian scored the game's first goal at the 9:56 mark of the opening period and added to the lead just two minutes later.

Sophomore defenseman Olyvia Opsahl got the Foresters on the scoreboard at 7:29 in the second on her first goal of the season. Sophomore forward Stokli Ashcraft and freshman forward Lexi Nguyen set up the score with Nguyen's assist representing her first career point. The Bulldogs, however, regained their two-goal advantage just 96 seconds later and the score was still 3-1 going into the final period.

Lake Forest closed back to within a goal at the 3:42 mark of the third on senior forward Makenzie Kamm's second score of the year. The visitors were unable to complete the comeback, however, and a score by Adrian with 1:45 remaining clinched the victory.

Forester senior goaltender Julieana Tarantino made 39 saves on the night and finished the season with a .932 save percentage, the ninth-best mark in program history.

Lake Forest finished the year with a record of 1-6-0 while Adrian advances to the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoff semifinals at 16-0-1.
