The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 3-1 by Aurora University in the Foresters' final home game of the season Tuesday night.

After a scoreless opening period, Lake Forest took the lead three minutes into the second on senior forward Makenzie Kamm's first goal of the year. The power play score was assisted by senior defenseman Jordan Trapp, who now has two helpers in 2021.

The Spartans tied the game midway through the second period and pulled ahead with 6:17 on the clock.

An insurance tally by the visitors at 8:08 in the third turned out to be the final score of the night.

Aurora had a 38-29 advantage in shots on goal and Forester sophomore goaltender Hannah Turnage made a career-high 35 saves in the contest. She also received the program's Ry McCarthy Award between the first and second periods.

The loss dropped Lake Forest's record on the season to 0-5-0 while Aurora improved to 5-5-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Foresters will close out the regular season at Trine University Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. (ET)
