The Forester women's hockey team drew even in the third period but eventually fell 2-1 at Aurora University on Friday.

Senior forward Emelia Edmondson netted Lake Forest's first goal of the season to tie the score at the 13:39 mark of the third period. Junior defenseman Rose Sperry earned her first career assist on the play.

The Spartans, however, pulled back ahead just 83 seconds later and held on for the victory.

Forester junior goaltender Julieana Tarantino made 42 saves on the afternoon and now has a season total of 132 to go with a .943 save percentage in the team's three games.

Lake Forest fell to 0-3-0 while Aurora improved to 3-5-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.

The same two teams will face off against Sunday afternoon at 3:00 and next Tuesday night at 7:30. Both games will be played in Lake Forest's Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
